The second RINGO film he
from the great Arrow bluray.
Not really a sequel but a much more engaging character for Gemma.

Way above average Italian Western.
Seems to be partly based on.the latter part of Homer'  ODDYSEY!

Another great bluray from Arrow!

Well made film with excellent production values.
Made in a semi- serious manner with realistic action and brutal violence.
I always liked Gemma but for some reason he didn't click with me in this character.
The villains were cliches and the women beautiful.
Great title song by Morricone.

Better than average Italian Western but only an average Western

Just a heads up that this I is now on bluray.
Beautiful print and, best of all its in STEREO!

The day I watched this several states were pummeled by tornadoes!

The last of the wonderful Arrow Releasing " Vengeance" bluray set.

This could have been titled " Dr. Phibes Goes West".

The dubbing was quite good for a change and Kinski being the lead was a pleasant surprise.

Way above the average SW in quality.
It's a real movie, not a " spaghetti Western".
The script is so much better than 99 percent of these films.

Not surprised Stanton undrvalues it; he thinks PECOS BILL is ORIGINAL;)

Third film in the excellent Arrow " Vengeance Classics" set.

Wow! Where did this come from.
Superbly made with a well constructed  and unpredictable script.
Extremely violent, excessively so.
But, I like that the film is played a
straight; no humor or fantastic gunplay.
Fine cast with many new faces.
A film that stands out among Italian westerns in many ways!.

Btw Kane looks alot like Dean Martin.
Ricky looks like John Phillip Law.

Can anybody tell me how Alfie figured out where the gold was hidden?
We see him looking at three casino markers and he  goes " Aha!" before he is shot dead.
How was the round marker the clue as to the safe?
Did he build the safe in the casino roof?

Good Sartana flick on the whole with the usual confusing double crosses.

Second film in the great Arrow Releasing " " Vengeance Classics".
The main thing that stands out in this formulaic film is the magnificent bosom of Nina!

BTW Is the end credit image lifted from the opening of FAFDM?

Above average Italian Western.
Well directed action sequences, played straight and surprisingly explicit violence.
Excellent score and song. Two good leads.
Like many post- FISTFUL films, it lifts elements from the Eastwood films.. But, the script is also unpredictable which is a nice surprise.

Btw the Arrow bluray has an extensive interview with Nero.
He reveals that he , Volonte and other contemporaries didn't dub their own parts, even I n the Italian language versions!

I watched this on DVD a few years ago.
Not a classic by any measure.

I always got him confused with Bradford Dillman.
Was good in COLUMBO.

I put the CD in another machine and when the end music starts I switch audio from DVD to CD until the end.
As, there is no dialogue it works!

Not bad.
In fact it's good.
It has Some I unique elements in the script that raise it up above standard westerns of the era.

No reason to upgrade then
