Just received this short note from Vivienne:
Dear Jim, Thank you so much for your kind mail. I am pleased to report that the chemotherapy worked but on Monday (19th October) I am having a big operation. Needless to say I am human and therefore apprehensive. How kind of you to pray for me. I am very touched. Please pray therefore for me on this day and also for all others who suffer. I am determined to get through this and am even planning, when it is all over, to try my hand at acting again! I shall be in hospital for about 3 weeks and then will go to a rest place to recuperate for a couple of weeks after that but my address is
France. I will write to you to again to let you know that I am home. I Ieave for hospital on Saturday. kind regards, Vivienne

I recently received an email from Vivienne. She apparently has been seriously ill the past several months, fighting colon cancer. Let's keep her in our prayers and hope she makes a full and complete recovery.

I received a recent email from Vivienne. Sadly, she is fighting a potentially life-threatening illness. Please keep her in your prayers. Let's hope she will make a full and complete recovery. She promised she would call me to fill me in on the details. I will keep you posted.

It has been a while since I posted here. It is great to see new members providing their insight into the films we all love.

My pick would have to be "My Dog Skip" (2000). For anyone who has ever loved and lost a pet, this ending is excruciating painful... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjX7QJwzp-U"Forget it Jake...It's Chinatown..."

Last evening my GF brought over a "chick flick" film called "The Holiday" (2006). To my amazement, the sub-plot involved a character played none other by Eli Wallach. There was more than one reference to Maestro Morricone also.
