I become a rotten Senator.
I send Christmas Postcards to everybody

Don't worry,be happy !  :D

A Fistful of Dollars / SPANISH ACTRESS
« on: January 27, 2004, 01:26:26 AM »
The maid is played by Margarita LOZANO , the same actress who plays Mrs BAXTER .
Interesting woman, wild and sexy but not kind at all. Black eyes, angry look and deep sensuality.

(By the way interesting film, very "Bunuelian") :)

Once Upon A Time In America / PIERROT LE FOU
« on: January 20, 2004, 03:04:49 AM »
I saw this film last night for the first time ( nobody's perfect).

Great !

I appreciate the scene where Belmondo driving his car launched it directly in the sea with his passenger.

Was Noodles a fan of jean-luc Godard ? ;)

Off-Topic Discussion / CHE GUEVARA del TORO
« on: January 17, 2004, 01:44:57 AM »
I just red that there is an Hollywood project about the life and death of CHE.
 Director; Terence Malick
Actor:Benicio Del Toro .
Not so bad . May be another "Frida" ?

In any case this film will be best than the horror made immediately after CHE death, with Omar Sharif and Jack Palance (as Castro) which was pure propaganda  IMO

General Discussion / LEONE and PECKINPAH
« on: January 03, 2004, 09:11:40 AM »
I don't know if Sergio and Sam were friends or if even they met each other but there were some coincidences between those two great Directors:

Sam realized some westerns in a different tone, when western movies were out of fashion.Sergio too

Sam realized a " Mexican Civil War " western "The Wild Bunch "  and Sergio too (DYS)

Sam Realized gangster movies Sergio too
Sam realized a Second World War Movie " Iron Cross" and Sergio projected another one "Leningrad".

Like great artists they shared influences and vision .Both were great fans of Ford.

Both died too early (Sam at  59) due to heart disease .

Both suffered because their films were cutted by distributors or producers ( Dundee, OUATIA)    :'(

General Discussion / WHERE DO WE COME FROM ?

OK I begin, I'm a froggy. :-*

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly / Was Sentenza a taylor ?
« on: December 24, 2003, 04:51:59 AM »
When Sentenza gave suits to Blondie he did'nt say "Try  these suits" but " put these suits" .
And in fact boots, trouser, blue shirt and mutton jacket are perfectly at the right size.
Its a miracle. Sentenza has a professional eye. Surely he was taylor before.

Suits and rattle-snake gun were possessed by Blondie for long time before. He carried it into his horse saddle riding with Shorty Larsen, and Tuco stole gun and suits and carried it in the Army sanitary Coach  , in the mission and in the POW.

So Sentenza gives back to Blondie only Blondie suits.

What you think about ?

General Discussion / James ELLROY
« on: December 23, 2003, 03:25:49 AM »
Do you like James ELLROY ?  I'm a fan ( I was a fan,  because the Kennedys story is a little bit boring)
But after OUATIA I imagine that Sergio would have been a great Director for Black Dahlia and even L.A Confidential .
Psychotics like Max or junkies like Noodles componed  usual Ellroy word .Who loves double-cross situations.'

What your opinion ?

« on: December 21, 2003, 03:34:34 AM »
Another complicated way choosen by Sergio.
(A friend on this site remarked that they was a hammersmith , ready to cut his chain but ...)

Cheyennes approaches to Harmonica , plays with harmonica's gun , takes it and gives him back . The message is clear: I'm not your enemy.

Cheyennes approaches again to Harmonica, talk to the washing- foot man and takes Harmonica's gun again.
Why ? we discover at this time that CHEYENNES HAS ALREADY  A GUN ( certainly stolen to the guards he killed).
He doesn't need another gun to broke his chains.
But he takes Harmonica's one . The message is also clear:  I 'm not sure you are my enemy or not.I take a security.I disarm you
In fact when the washing- foot man cut Cheyennes' chains there are three gun's:
Haramonica's one hold by Cheyennes
Cheyennes's one hold by washing-foot man
Washing-foot's one staying in his holster

Not complicate at all !

Bloody Sergio  :D

Off-Topic Discussion / Year of the Dragon (1985)
« on: December 21, 2003, 03:14:24 AM »
I watch the DVD last night. Its great. Mickey Rourke is fantastic. I fully regret that:

He never was directed by Sergio (we know he tried)
He completely failed his carreer: bad choices, rebellions..Too bad :-\

Many people on this famous website tried to logically explain facts and events.
But Sergio always preferred a beautiful scene than a rational way.
For example if you fall down from a train, enchained with Sgt Wallace and you have to separe your hand from the dead one of the sergent what should you do ?

You should take stones and crash with it the Sgt hand, mashing his bones and his  flesh till his hand be totally destroyed.,

Disgusting no?

You could also put Sgt Wallace corpse on the railroad... and wait for a day the next train. ;)

Off-Topic Discussion / The Leopard aka Il gattopardo (1963)
« on: December 11, 2003, 03:19:12 AM »
I just bought the new DVD: complete, brilliant, luxurious with many  great actors (Burt Lancaster is a master)

Some " spagh " names: giulano gemma,  terence hill and ... wild and a little bit fat Claudia herself   :D
