Other Films / Most stylish shootouts
« on: October 16, 2012, 01:03:07 AM »
Hello all, I am fairly new to Westerns( circa 20 movies). Could  anyone recommend some hidden gems where the final shootouts have been captured as stylishly as or very closely to how they are in Leone movies?

« on: October 12, 2012, 01:59:23 AM »
The piece on the soundtrack "Il Tramonto" that plays when Amgel Eyes appoaches Steven' residence is  a superb piece of music imo. Could anybody recommend similar pieces in any movies?

Duck, You Sucker / Invenzione Per John
« on: July 25, 2012, 11:06:31 AM »
The song which is played in the beginning of the film as the credits roll is very curiously titled "Invenzione per John". It is the strangest (and one of the most beautiful at the same time) piece of music I have ever heard. In its entirety, it conveys a myriad of emotions. May anyone enlighten me why is it titled "Inventions for John" or "Invenzione per John"?

For a Few Dollars More / Indian FAFDM
« on: June 23, 2012, 09:21:40 AM »
This movie must eerily remind forum members of FAFDM..........Amigos, have a look.....

The name of the movie is Khottey Sikkey ( Literal translation: "Counterfeit Coins"). At 2:06, you will see Danny Denzongpa who bears an uncanny resemblance to Lee Van Cleef and generally played villainous roles.....

General Discussion / A place only Mary knows
« on: May 11, 2011, 09:34:11 AM »

This is Prabal from India. This is my first post in this forum. Though I have read some earlier posts discussing this idea which Leone intended to develop into a film, could someone tell me more about how Leone inteded to treat it. The concept sure looks very similar to GBU in that there is a treasure hunt involved in both of them.
