We are planning on a reunion of aficionados of the Italowestern genre in the Almeria -San Jose area in the period 19-26 March 2004. There will be film location hunting and having a good time. It will be the 40th anniversary of the birth of the Italowestern, if we take Fistful of Dollars as the initial event in time. We have info for hotels, cheap and expensive. Sergio Sollima might attend as well. Email me for more info: Prof.Marsili "at"gmx.de for security and anti -spam reasons, I substitute the @ sign in my email address with "at", use @ of course when you write for real adios , Nighteagle

Thanks Halis, maybe Benito was not remembering too well, after 30 years. When I interviewed Stefanelli (see my latest topic post) I also noticed that he had some uncertainties in remembering the cast of some films for example, but that´s understandable, as he made so many movies. Anyway, Frayling may be correct in such a case. Saludos, amigo!

Hippieoddball is right. Benito Stefanelli told me once that the Bronson beating - up scene was cut because of time overlength of the movie

Indio to Clint when he gets him at night stealing the bag of money
this is a difficult one:

the mexican guy who welcomes Clint riding into town, after being shot through the mule´s legs

You are right Harmonica, but here is exaclty where the world of dreams (movies) and the world of reality ( when I shoot REAl Cowboy shooting competition) separate. In our competitions we have to reload sometimes, but we don´t spin, as the risk of cylinder overtravel is too big. We click and always go BANG. However, Clint in FOD, is a Greek semi-god coming from the fogs of Olympus (the dynamite smoke) and therefore spins, and does not click, the cylinder.
