Fanelli's eh? Right I'll give it a visit and let you know what I think.

Have you ever been to Chumley's in Greenwich Village, read about it on the net sounds a similar sort of bar (used to be a  speakeasy etc.)....worth a visit???

Thanks again

I think you're probably right. (Sadly).

I'll keep looking mind as 5 pints is a pretty big incentive for me!

Guess I'll just have to take a walk down by the bridge and find a likely looking bar.

Thanks anyway.

I think it is/was an actual bar. It's been a couple of years now but I recall reading Frayling's "Something to do with death". He relates how Leone met up with Harry Grey in a seedy bar in the late 60s possibly on the Lower East Side to discuss filming "The Hoods". When it eventually came round to filming in the early 80s, Leone was trying to find the same type of bar in that area. Certainly the front of the bar where Moe has to shift a couple of customers out after he gets the phone call from the returning Noodles doesn't look like a set. Though I could be wrong, having scoured the Net for this bar and came up so far with no trace. Ah well the search continues....

Anyone know the actual address/location of the bar that was used as Moe's Bar in Once upon a time in America?

Planning a jaunt to New York shortly and sinking a couple of pints in that bar from my favourite film would make the trip complete.

Thanks in advance for any light you can shed on this.

 ??? ??? ???
