I lost my track myself in all this exitment...

I have this "cahiers du cinema". You know, this is  a very good magazine (and the news cahiers are still very good). They were the first (in france) to write that they like directors like scorsese, lucas, spielberg, tim burton... and Leone.

Hey guys! i'm french, and let me say that there are a lot of great great french movies... not as much as great american movies for a good reason: there is less movies in france than in us.

Of course, french people often tink that their movies are the best, and they do a lot of "films d'auteurs", but most of the french population look TF1: Die Hard, Predator, Spiderman....
So don't take the french to seriously, they are exactly the same as americans.

The three dusters waiting for a train are al mulloch, woody strode and jack elam.

I think Al isn't famous, he's italian, and i've just seen him in gbu and ouatitw.

Is Jack elam famous? i don't know him, but he's a very good actor.

And Woody Strode? He is the "guest star" of the movie, but i've just seen him in ouatitw and "the professionnels". Who's that guy???

Ennio Morricone / Re:Morricone

I was at one porricone concert in november in france, that was great, as you can imagin!
I've learn that he composes symphonic music too, and "room music" as we say in french.

I've heard last year a new version of the theme of fistful of dynamite, composed by morricone: just a short tune that is repeted for 5 or 6 minutes.... strange...

no. CLint use a colt navy in gbu, and a peacemaker in the 2 other movies. But the 2 guns have snake.
Clint changes his gun for gbu because of the scene of the "spurs": he couldn't do that with the peacemaker.
There is this error in the movie: clint has an holster with .45 ammo, but his gun (colt navy 1851) is .44, can't be loaded with athose ammunitions, and this is a black powder (?) revolver.

But clint's holster is the same in rawhide, gbu, fod, fafdm, hang them high, and a lot of western with clint...

Leone talking about the first scene of his project:
"Leningrad, 1942. Stop. Générique: "Les 900 Jours de Leningrad".

I'm sorry, i can't translate that... you'll have to ask somebody else, has you know, my english is a little bit "limited".

The principal actor was going to be de niro.

Do you remember "enemy at the gate" of j.j. annaud?
About this movie, Annaud said:
«Tourner ce film a aussi été pour moi une façon de rendre hommage à Sergio Leone, qui voulait faire un film sur la bataille de Stalingrad. Quand il est mort, j'ai appris qu'il avait pensé à moi pour poursuivre le projet. Pour différentes raisons, je n'avais pas pu le faire.»

which means:

"Doing this movie was for me a kind of hommage to sergio leone, who wanted to do a movie about the battle of stalingrad. When he died, i've learne that he had thought to me for go on the project. For lot of things, i couldn't."

i think i can find a picture of the poster of the project "the 100 days of stalingrad"... wait a moment...

Leone was thinking to a movie called (i translate the french title): the 100 days of stalingrad. He had ever choise the actors, and the poster.
he wanted to do a trilogie about the "after" american dream.

Now, i can say that my life isn't completly missed.

an other scene that isn't in any version of the movie is jsut before tuco and clint arrive in the cemetary.
Remember, tuco is riding a horse, clint shoot him with a canon (do you say "canon" in english???) and tuco fall.

Just after that, he arrive in the cemetary.
In the scene that miss, tuco trie to shoot clint with an other canon (remember that when he falls, we can see a part of canon near him), but the gun exploids.
I've 2 pictures of this scene.

an other time: sorry for the english!

After shooting ouatia, Leone said (in a french newspaper) taht he wanted to do an other western, but he didn't think that the public for western was still there.

When he was thinking to "the 100 days of Stalingrad" (french title), he wanted to do a new trilogie, about "after the american dream".

Well, the two scene that you're talking are in fact one scene:
Tuco is looking for clint, because this one left him in the desert. He comes in a town, where he sees south soldiers taking guys for their army. Tuco wants to help those guys (who don't want to fight), and tries to collect money for giving it to the soldiers, aiming to ask them to let the civilians.
Clint was in the same town, in the bed with a girl. He and the girl stole the money that Tuco had founded, and leave the town...

Tuco has (another time) been betrayed by clint, but because of what he had tried, three mexicans follow him after that (for tinking him), and do what he wants.
Those guys are the three who are killed by clint in the scene of the "spurs": there is two kinds of spurs, my friend...

I hope you anderstood what i said, my english isn't really perfect :(
