Coburn was great. Would have been interesting definately to see the kind of Joe he would have played- but I would still say that in the end Eastwood was awesome. Its a shame Coburn didn`t make that many Westerns....my dad incidently used to know him years ago- they went clubbing together in London- Mr. Coburn is meant to be a cool guy in real life too. That's really cool, faisal! Did you ever get to meet Coburn? Here's one of my favorite Coburn "moments," him on the cover of the Wings album "Band on the Run."

I voted that over time it grew on me. It's still not my favorite score of Morricone's, OUATITW and GBU still rank #1 and 2 for me, but DYS has really grown on me on repeated viewings. Then, seeing the movie on DVD this summer and downloading the soundtrack really put it over the top for me.

Anyone else ever had the little devil and and the angel on your shoulders? I know the posts are a few weeks old, but I read that and couldn't resist. Here's a quick Family Guy clip that definitely applies here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqpSQeSD6RQ

Plan 9 from Outer Space: 4/5 A truly horrible movie, and I loved it. It completely lives up to the title of "Worst Movie Ever Made." Gotta love those flying saucers.
Flying saucers = paper plates covered in aluminum foil held up by strings that are visible just about anytime they're on screen.

3:10 to Yuma for me. I saw it for a second time this week and liked it even more this time around. Followed closely by Tombstone and Open Range.

I heard they wanted Coburn for MWNN. I wonder how he would played it. I'm sure he would be excellent, but the charakter would be totally different I would like to see Coburn and LVC united... It certainly would have been interesting to see, and even though I love Coburn, I'll stick with Clint. But for Coburn playing the MWNN, I'd imagine it like an amped up version of Britt in The Magnificent Seven. Cool, quiet, and let's his gun and/or knife do the talking.

Blondie knew it was in the chamber. He wouldn't play russian roulette.
With russian roulette, we'd have the ending to The Great Silence a few years early. Ramon kills Joe and then kills Silvanito and Piripero. Then Ramon and Esteban can ride off into the sunset and take over another town. What a downer ending....

long time no post what was the problem? nothing serious we hope. Nothing serious at all. Just kinda hit a wall with posting and there didn't seem to be much going on here in late spring when I deleted my account. But poking around here the last couple weeks, it seems that things have picked up some so I thought I'd come back. After all, this is the best board ever....

Good to see the expedition getting underway again. Nice work, Groggy, can't wait to see the dramatic conclusion!

Hey, everybody! It's Tim come back from the dead! I don't recognize all the posters here, but enough ring a bell that hopefully remember talking to me. Been away from the boards for awhile, but I've been lurking around these last couple weeks and thought I'd create another account. Looking forward to posting about Leone and all kinds of great movies again!
