Some things that need answering... Ok.. the scene with the bank. You had the bad guys and the good guys counting along before the big boom. Just wondering a couple things. a) how did everyone know when to start counting? b) how did thye know to even count in the first place? Also, about the so-called partnership between Clint and Van Cleef. How did Van Cleef know to go the oposite direction that he told Clint to take Indio? Lucky guess if you aske me. And since he was double crossed, why not get even with him, hmm? Yes these are indeed questions that scream out for an answer.

Was there another film Leone was thinking about directing after Once Upon A Time In America?

Ok so does anyone know the reason Leone waited so long to make this film? Were talking over 10 years, no?

Throughout the film, Lee Van Cleef constantly calls Clint 'Boy'. Ok...so Clint is like 35 in this film. How old is Van Cleef supposed to be? Hardly a boy, no? But then again, I would hardly call Clint a 'Blondie' in GBU. His hair is darker than most but I guess compared to the other Italian actors at the time, he was a blondie

Anyone else feel that Tuco went a bit too far to seek revenge against Blondie? I mean, Blondie split the reward money with him and only left him 70 miles in the desert and left it at that. Tuco returns and attempts to kill Blondie several times. What's that all about. Blondie never truely tried to kill Tuco. Had he tried, Tuco would be six feet under and that's no joke. Just things to ponder...hmmmmm

Just something I noticed when I saw this film the other night. During the final duel scene between Frank and Harmonica, I noticed that the wide shot was set up to make the men look the same height. It is clear that Frank is much taller than Harmonica, but Leone angled it slightly to possible hide it, I guess. You'll see that the ground slants way down from Harmonica to Frank. Anyone else ever notice this? No biggy - just things that make you go hmmm.

We're looking for some new Leone pics. If anyone has access to some good quality Sergio Leone photos and would like to e-mail them for use on this site, please e-mail me. Thanks.

Besides Sergio Leone, what are some of your other favorite directors and why?

I'll admit, I've never seen this movie in its entirety. The parts I did see were good but I'm not sure if I'd place it in the same ranks as the "Dollars" triology. It's a very different kind of film. Opinions?

Since this is a brand new board, I figured I'd start some posts.
It's been written that the role of Harmonica was originally for Clint Eastwood. Though this film is perfect as is, the idea of Eastwood in this role has always intrigued me, offering more insight into the past of The Man With No Name. ANyone have any thoughts on this?

Does anyone know how much money this film made at the box office?
