High Plains Drifter, The Outlaw Josey Wales and Unforgiven.

Ok and my pick for a non-Eastwood Western, hmmm.....  Maybe High Noon and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Any chance someone could put this scene online? I'd love to check it out.

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re:The role of Harmonica
« on: November 14, 2002, 06:53:06 AM »
I heard about the opening sequence and if that is true, I am glad Clint turned it down. Why would Clint want to do something like that when he was already offered the lead role and at this point already very successful. I am actually surprised the other 2 agreed to do it.  That whole scenerio would not have made much sense since Lee Van Cleef;s character was killed and Clint and Tuco parted ways after GBU. So to have all 3 of them together at the beginning of OUATITW would have been strange to see.

And besides...come on, there is no way in hell Bronson would ever be faster on the draw than Clint!!  8)

Is the DVD a bootleg or is the quality a good transfer?

Don -

You actually can insert images by using the YABBC tags above the message box when you post a mesage (there are 28 different buttons that allow you to format text, post images, links, etc.)

Anyway, you have an awesome collection and obviousley have been doing it for some time. The only collection I have that is Leone related are the US one sheet posters for the films Clint Eastwood starred in (along with every other Eastwood one sheet).

It is indeed a great film. But I tend to think GBU is a better over all film. Maybe it is the pacing or the story and the fact that Tuco steals the film. I am also partial towards Eastwood and would have liked to have seen him as Harmonica. Anyway, still a cool flick, even with Bronson.

Hmmm. I will have to check that one out.

Another scene that is missing even from the DVD is Clint with a hooker in bed. I've seen a photo of this scene. I believe it is from this film. If not, then it is GBU.

Web Site Announcements / Re:The brave new Sergio Leone board...

Thanks. These types of boards are pretty comon nowadays though and it's features attract more serious posters, where as the old board allowed for anyone to take on any identy and mess with people, which happened to often.

Over time as more people register it should become a great resource. I did the same thing with our Clint Eastwood site years ago and the new board format has worked out quite well.

For me it's got to be The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Great film, great soundtrack, great story - plus even more importantly.... it's got Tuco!
