According to british DVD sites, the UK r2 DVD will come out in october. According to www.digitalbits.com a r1 Collector's Edition will come out before the year is over. This has also been confirmed by Paramount. Let's hope it includes the same specs as the french release.

I really liked "Viva Django!", and other flims I really like are "Texas, Addio", the original "Django", plus most of the westerns starring Terrence Hill and/or Bud Spencer.

There is one thing that really puzzles me with this movie: What is the meaning of Joe Pesci's second appearance (in the hospital)?

I received it today, and the quality is amazing. As far as I know, it's completely uncut. It runs for 229 minutes, includes Noodles final flashback, and I also believe that the rape-scene is uncut. I'll watch the entire film tonight, it will be amazing.

I would have wanted to see his project about the siege of Leningrad, would have been much better than "Enenmy At The Gates", although I liked that film as well.

Although the official release date isn't until the 10th, it is already in stock at www.play.com (only region 1). My order has already shipped, should receive it by the end of the week. It's time for all you Leone fans to spend some money.

By the way, they actually had minature cameras strapped to the birds. It took several years to get all the footage, and I believe it's the most expensive documentary ever made, at least in Europe.

Haven't seen the film yet, but I have the soundtrack, which is great. I'm a Nick Cave-fanatic, and his song on the soundtrack, "To Be By Tour Side" is incredibly beautiful.

Check out www.digitalbits.com for an article about OUATIA. It also includes a short review commenting on the picture quality. It is FANTASTIC. The only bad thing about the DVD is that disc one actually ends 40 minutes before the intermission. They have chosen to do this in order to get top quality on both discs, so I guess we can't complain.

Yes, R2 is Europe and R1 America. My Name Is Nobody has been released on region 1 as well, in Canada. You can either by it new from www.dv-depot.com or used from www.amazon.com The quality is said to be rather good. You can read customer reviews at www.amazon.com

The artwork looks terrible, plus it's the short version. I sure hope the DVD is in widescreen. I'll by it anyway, it's Sergio Leone. Let's hope it gets a better release on region 1 in the future.

Are the special features subtitled in english? I'm thinking of getting the french DVD. To bad there aren't any english subtitles on the french DVD of "The Colossus of Rhodes". Haven't seen any of these films yet, but I've been looking for them for a long time. Let's hope for either a region 1 release, or a region 2 release in the UK (or Scandinavia).
