Once Upon A Time In The West / Flagstone

Could'nt find these buildings below in the movie. Not in the opening scene when Jill arrived by train. Is there another moment in the movie when they are shown?

I agree wholeheartedly.  I saw a recent photo of Claudia
Wow..she has really aged :-[.  How could someone as gorgeous as her lose all essence of beauty so completely?   It's funny how we can watch images on a TV/movie screen with characters larger than life and expect them to remain unchanged over time. It is really a depressing thing to watch... the aging process. :-[

Yep, you're right. But we all reach that point of time :'(

Well, as you can see in the list, Das Experiment. But I'm a little puzzled at why you ask me this... ???

Maybe he thought Deutsch in stead of Dutch. A mistake people often make and we don't like at all  ;) (I'm Dutch too)

Once upon a time in the west.

This summer I have seen the ruïns of Flagstone and the McBain ranche in Spain. It brought me a bit closer to Leone.

A Fistful of Dollars / Re:Help with nagging question?
« on: October 07, 2004, 11:49:30 PM »
This I found on: moviemistakes.com

When the Rojos steals the gold from the Mexican soldiers, one of them uses a machine gun to scythe them down. Yet the first machine guns were not used by anybody until the Civil War, and A Fistful of Dollars takes place before then (its sequel, Good, Bad, Ugly was set during that war). Not to mention that the weapon itself resembles a Vickers gun from WWI. [It is not a 'machine gun', it is a gattling gun which was around at the time.]

Once Upon A Time In The West / Re:Eastwood as Harmonica
« on: October 07, 2004, 07:41:39 AM »
But even as a "die-hard Eastwood-fan", I think he would have been wrong as Harmonica. Would have been fun to see him, Wallach and van Cleefe gunned down in the beginning, however....

That's what I read also. Leone had the intention to make the opening shoot with Eastwood, Wallach en Van Cleef  gunned down at Cattle Corner by Bronson.

I dunno if there are a lot of Metallica-fans on this board.  Singer James Hetfield's favourite movie is GBU, and on (almost?) every concert they play the original 'the Ecstacy of Gold' before they come up.  Last year they did at a festival in Belgium.  This year I did not go, but when I saw the livestream on my computer, my heart broke.  Not only did they play the music, they played almost the whole scene on these big screens...  Pretty cool way to start a show, isn't it?

I have seen the show last year in Arnhem, The Netherlands. Metallica is one of the greatest metall bands ever. The first four albums are a legend. If Metallica wasn't there, a lot of modern bands never excisted. Bands like, for example Nickelback.
In the early 90's they used a tune from Once Upon a Time in The West, the one from Jill.
