Saw this discussed on the youtube clip from the dying solider scene.  It says that the quote by blondie was cut out because it was deemed anti-war.  I know that Clint used it on pale rider movie.  Can anyone shed any light on this?

I always wondered if Serio initially wanted Benny Hill to play the part of that nerdy hotel manager because they look quite alike.  Apparently Benny Hill was too busy doing Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines.
