"Forced". (Garfield). Yeah, but also entertaining. The image of the hanged well dressed inspirator of Jacob Chansley is funny and the moron kid getting killed is always refreshing. Beautiful technicolor. 6-7/10

Was there a B&W version that was shown on TV a decade plus ago? Unless I'm mistaken, I believe I saw this a long time ago but it was in B&W. I owe this a re-watch since I'm probably the most forgiving person here when it comes Audie Murphy. I remember liking this at a time where I was a way harsher judge on B movies.
