Poncho looked more brown to me than green.  I could understand why it might look greenish under certain light, brownish under another (lighting at the exhibit was not bright).  The replica ponchos for sale in the museum gift shop ($500) also looked brown, may be the same item as on which calls it "brown and white".  The text from the museum gift shop calls it olive green( states "This handsome, and instantly recognizeable poncho, looks great on both men and women. The design of this 100% wool olive green blanket, with ivory pattern and fringe, offers classic style. The unique geometric pattern is machine woven into the blanket so it appears on both sides of the poncho. A minimum of twenty hours of work goes into the production of each of these special pieces, made here in America. Available in 4 sizes, Extra Large is recommended for anyone 6’4” or taller. Because these are handmade, and due to demand, there may be a 2 to 4 week waiting period. "
