trust a man who wears both a belt and suspenders?

« #150 : April 03, 2013, 09:26:18 PM »

Just for the hell of it, I looked up Leone's ratings on imdb:

5 of his movies are in the IMDB Top 250:

GBU #5

OUATITW #24

OUATIA #78

FAFDM #109

FOD #219

(DYS and MNIN are rated a very solid 7.6/10 and 7.3/10, respectively. COR is rated 5.9/10).

Do you think DYS and MNIN deserve to be in the top 250 as well?

I started a new job on Monday and now have my own place in Pittsburgh. Only took two years after graduating college! No internet for now except stolen wifi, but why complain?

congrats  O0

have you begun turning it into a Man Cave?

p.s. I won't bother warning you how dangerous it can be to use stolen wifi; I am sure you know. It's not just the hackers; I read about how in Europe, Google's cars that drive down the streets taking photos for Google Maps' Street View, would pick up people's email addresses and passwords that were being typed on unsecured wifi networks http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2010/may/15/google-admits-storing-private-data

My apartment's already dirtier and more cluttered than my bedroom ever was. Does that count?

Normally I'd avoid it but I have some things to do urgently for work along with change of address etc. No home internet until at least Saturday. Fortunately I'm on the second floor with curtained windows so the latter oughtn't be a problem.

You think the cameras were peering into people's homes as they were typing? In that case, what's the difference if the network is secured or unsecured?

I believe the cameras were hacking into the networks and storing users' activity -- which they could only do when they are unsecured.

I'm so upset that Mark Rydell didn't act in more movies. I've only seen 2 of his acting performances -- in Crime in the Streets, and in his most famous role in The Long Goodbye -- and he is so damn amazing. He had a few other performances, but he mostly pursued a career as a director. He's quite a successful director, but I wish that he had also pursued his acting career more.

Received my first paycheck today. With it came the realization that factoring in rent, loan payments and other expenses, I'll be running a monthly deficit of around $100. Life is good. O0
