We?ll get the rabbit poop but the ? common language ? thing is a myth. I?ve spent 4 months in Ottawa (French speaking Ontario and literally a 3min walk away from Quebec) and several weekends in Montreal and I can tell you: I understand these people way better when they speak to me in English than in ? French ?.

If they want to promote racial stuff, how about having a new Oscar category for a movie about racism or social justice or whatever? That would incentivize and reward movies about this subject. But the idea that you can?t be the best movie of the year without checking off these boxes is asinine. And I am sure many the top (liberal) filmmakers don?t like it but can?t complain due to cancel culture.

The Oscars don?t exist as far as I am concerned. And I?ll keep ignoring new films and watching classic films. (Get the BRD?s before they digitally alter those old movies. Remember in THANK YOU FOR SMOKING this character wanted to alter the cigarettes in old movies to lollipops or something? They?ll probably start actually doing that now. Maybe digitally changing Bogie & Bacall to Jay Z & Beyonce
