Hello all, I am fairly new to Westerns( circa 20 movies). Could  anyone recommend some hidden gems where the final shootouts have been captured as stylishly as or very closely to how they are in Leone movies?

The Big Gundown has a few - I like the stylish standoffs in Companeros - But Leone is on a whole different level

Thanks. I have seen both of them. The Big Gundown has a couple of noteworthy ones...can you think of some others of the same quality?

"Hombre" has a real time 3way at its end that is cool - I can think of a few but the rest of the film just doesn't measure up - a gunfight by lit matches in "The Price Of Power"  O0

Not in Leone's class, but Alex Cord going after the bad guys at end of Stagecoach (1966) was decent.  End of Death Rides a Horse is decent.

The l'arena scene in The Mercenary of course. this is the most stylish duel next to Leone. Corbucci was the only SW Director to rival Leone (in his best films). But his style is different, and some of his films are more vicious and more cynical than Leone's. And more dirty.

Sollima's duels are not bad, but he was not on that level. A similar duel to that in The Big Gundown is in Run Man Run, which actually is a sequel to that film.

The action in Death Rides a Horse is partly mediocre.
