I remember when ITV acquired the rights in the 90's after the BBC having them for 10-12 years, there was more bloodshed, such as the scene when Clint shoots at the man up at the window after the final showdown. This was because they had prints that included the cuts made by the British film censors. I haven't checked but would have thought DVD's would have these scenes but you say your DVD doesn't have the shot of Brega and gang members bodies so that doesn't seem to be the case. I'll have to have a look at my different DVD versions.
Interesting Le Bon, I'll look forward to what you find.
Years before we had DVD I too remember seeing more blood shed on different TV versions. Thing is, you never expected it and all of a sudden you would see something that you hadn't seen before - I always notice, even just a frame or two.
Going back to the version that I watched on Saturday, I wouldn't like to say that it was a pan and scan job but the picture was certainly closer to the action and it was not widescreen of any type. It felt more involved but maybe I'm just talking bo11ock5 now - plus I did have a few beers on Saturday night
Edit; do you mean when Silvanito shoots up at Esteban? I remember that too
