10. How did Angel Eyes know Tuco was not Bill Carson?

Because they knew each other before the events of the film.

11. Describe the difference in tactics on the battle field as compared with that used a century earlier in the War of American Independence

During the Revolution the formal way of fighting was using regiments formed into 50 man companies lining up standing and firing musket volleys at each other

12. What prevented Angel Eyes from killing Tuco after Tuco had disclosed his secret?

Maybe a little bit of sentiment of one rat to another (remember they knew each other before)

14. Why did the Union Commander want the bridge blown up when he was ordered to keep it intact?

Because he was expressing the futility and insanity of it all.

15. How did the Union Commander plan to solve his ?bride? problem?

He was still going to follow his orders he was just wishing he could blow it up.

16. What prevented Tuco from killing Blondie?

The name on the grave.

18. Why did Blondie treat Tuco that way at the end of the movie?

Because Tuco was a rat.

I'd argue point 12 is more that AE couldn't kill anybody anymore in that prison because the commandant was on him. So he sent Tuco to be judged and killed "legally".

@x Salty: have you at least watched the movie? A good chunk of these questions have obvious answers.

What do you mean by rat @cigar joe?

Blondie couldn't trust him not to double cross him, so he tied him up with that noose around his neck "just for old times" and got far enough away to get a head start before shooting the rope.

It was also his nickname, he known as "The Rat"

I remember back in the eighties I had to do homework on the movie Hobson's Choice (1954)..

I don't envy your task, it's a real chunky movie with so many subplots.

Movies and books of this calibre need to 'sink in', maybe after a couple of viewings, or it will just end up as a copy n paste exercize.
