In the early 70s a drive-in near my house (Washington state) used to do something like this. I'm thinking they did the whole Dollars trilogy at one go, but maybe they spread it over two nights. I never went--I knew cinema then about as well as Roy Power knows movies now.

You mean you spent all your time watching PTA and Malick movies? Their filmmography was pretty limited at the time.
