But you don't look like the one who'll collect it.

The information available on http://morricone.coolfreepages.com/ lists all music from GBU officially available so far. A minor nitpick, though, some of the details are inaccurate: the GDM compilation Western Graffiti only includes tracks 1, 24, and 25 (that's the main theme and the two alternate takes) and NOT all 25 tracks as the listing seems to imply.

Basically, the first 23 tracks appear either on the old Italian cd from Vivimusic, which includes La Resa dei Conti and/or the 2001 expanded edition from GDM.

The mp3s that All-Vox Man and Sensei have originate from one or more of the several expanded bootleg versions that exist from the GBU score. I'm currently trying to find out exactly how many versions do exist and how they differ from each other. :) More information as soon as I get it.

Meanwhile, I'm also quite interested in obtaining those files. I might be able to supply some of my own goodies in return.

Before I forget, last year GDM was about to release a Volume 2 of the GBU soundtrack. It already had a catalogue number GDM2039, but suddenly its release was postponed until further notice till it disappeared completely. Subsequently the catalogue number was used for a different cd. I'm pretty sure most of the stuff you guys have dug up would've ended up on that cd, it's a shame they didn't release it.
The picture in my avatar is a cropped version of the planned sleeve for that record.  ;)

Great info Sentenza! :D I would also recommend http://www.chimai.com which is a great site for researching Morricone music. I dont think the listing All-Vox-Man presented is from any album, but rather from a page about the movie and the music. I didn't know these tracks existed and they arent on either of the bootlegs I have. If anyone has the Western Graffiti soundtrack, could you send me these files so I can include them on the album? If not I'll have to buy the CD and it will probably take a week or two for it to ship >:( I have ripped both the bootleg and the expanded 2001 GDM release in a lossless format and I'm working my way through it now. Some tracks on the GDM CD actually sound worse than the ones on the bootleg! But I'm trying to remove as much noise/hiss as possible without messing up the special sound of this soundtrack. I'm watching the movie and comparing the music as I go and taking notes of which music is still missing. So far there are only a few small clips. Sentenza, if you have any files (preferably on CD that hasn't been burned from a lossy format) it would be great if we could get together and compare with what I have. I'm sorry I can't get you all this album for xmas, but if I'm doing this I'm doing it good, once and for all, and I'm sure you will love the result! ;D

Probably the GDM 2038. I have that one inluded in a 31 track version. The quality of the extra tracks is awful and they contain all the sounds from the movie, so they are probably ripped right off the DVD. :-[

Sensei, I have the "Western Graffitti" compilation and could send you the two unreleased GBU tracks that are on it. I''ll need to find the cd first, though. So it might take a while...

Ok, great. :D I have the two tracks as 192kbps mp3 now, but a higher quality would be great. Add me to your IM if you have any, and we can talk.  :)

The downloads worked for me, and I'm not real computer-literate, thanks.  To me it appears these are the same files, but the first download (the larger one) gives files with more bytes.
