Can't quite remember if this was covered in the 'Something to do with Death'

In 1965 Jolly Films who produced FOD (Per un pugno di dollari) tried to released a film called 'Magnificent Stranger' (Itself a working title for Leone 1st Spaghetti as we know)
The Film was made off the success of FOD and a asset  that Jolly Films no longer owned. It was created by editing loads of Clint performances from epsiodes of Raw Hide into a movie.

Mr Eastwood sued or threaten to (not sure on details)
And the project was scrapped.

When i think of this...  Those Bruce Lee movies after his death come to mind , lots of behind shots of body doubles.. in wigs.. delivering lines.  ;)

You know I think I actually remember seeing the lobby cards of what may have been this film on Times Square in the 60's, I distinctly remember a shot of what looked like Tuco with his umbrella riding across the desert. Now it may have been the Tony Anthony flick, I just don't remember that well.

Now thats interesting maybe they edited bits form the Dollars movies aswell.
Or were just using Tuco (Eli) to get people on seats, has been done before.

Tony Anthony was well known for the 'Stranger' name.  Stranger In Town (1966), The Stranger Returns (1967) and *Silent Stranger (1969).
And these films proberly come under what? About 6 or 7 different names depending on what country they played. So more confusion. lol

* Silent Stranger (1969). This one is strikingly different. By Tony Anthony's Poncho wearing Hero is relocated to 19th Century Feudal Japan. Filmed on location with TOHO studios, with some of there minor Samurai Cambara stars. Very Bizarre.. but equaly not very good.
But Anthony must of come into contact with Zatoichi at the studios to get some ideas for his next film Blindman

I have nothing to add, I just wanna say I like your new icon :)
Thanks
The real Irony is... I'm trying to give up smoking..  ::)
