I sure as hell havent seen that before in the first 20 minutes of any movie. That should keep you locked on for the next two hours and ten minutes.

Leone does seem to have a taste for the taboo and grotesque-consider the Juan rape scene,the urinal scene in My Name Is Nobody and plenty of the like in OUATIA!

his movies did progressivly get more crude. In "West" it was the patting on Jill's butt. In DYS it was of course the rape, the nudity, the language etc. and in "America" it was pretty much everything in DYS only to a higher degree(introducing child nudity and sex).

My missus wouldn't watch OUATIA  from the moment Noodles blasts open the head of the guy that was guarding the chained up Fat Moe-but i'm glad she didn't stick with it-the rape scenes are just too far over the top-especially Deborah in the cab-VERY difficult to watch and ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to like Noodles afterwards

I don't think you're supposed to like Noodles, or Juan for that matter.  They both have some good qualities, but that doesn't mean their good people.  In fact, that goes with every Leone character.  It's what gives his characters their complexity.  Every one of his films is about bad guys who are among really bad guys.

I certainly dont see poor old Juan as a bad guy at all. Noodles is a nasty person. Juan is not. The film itself wants you to like Juan.

The Tuesday Weld rape had some humour i suppose but the cab rape needn't have been so drawn out!

Juan is a good guy-just by judging his reaction at the firing squads!

Yeah anyone willing enough as a kid to carry blades and murder shouldn't qualify as a nice person exactly!
