"You see, I have a story too, Mr.Bailey. I had a friend once. A dear friend. I turned him in to save his life. He died. but he wanted it that way. Things went bad for my friend, and they went bad for me too." -Noodles

"So how come you showed me your tush?" -Young Noodles.

I don't know why, but the introduction of Young Noodles with that smartass New York Jew accent was perfect ;D

Joe: "Life is. . . funnier than s***."

Patsy (right before shooting Joe): "No trouble.  Kid's stuff."

Frankie: "There they are, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.  Did you happen to see that movie, Joe?  It's a good movie!"

Max (after Noodles calls him crazy): "Don't you EVER EVER say that!"

Noodles: You can always tell the winners at the starting gate.  No one would've bet anything on you.
Fat Moe: I would've bet everything on you.
Noodles: You would've lost.

Just a few.

Max's outburst of "Fucks" during the scene after the intermission. It's almost as if the screenwriters had a bunch of leftover "Fucks" and needed to find a place to put them. Or maybe they were writing that scene with Pacino in mind ;D

Chicken Joe (Richard Bright)'s great line to Jimmy Conway: "Listen to me, you socialist asshole!  We don't give a good FART about the socialist workers and their movements."

Max: This country's still growing up.  Some diseases you're better off having when you're young.

Reporter #1: Chief Aiello, moving the workers into the factory came as a surprise to everyone - the press, the union - especially the strikers!

Aiello: Well, what did you want, sweetheart?  A declaration of war?  Ours was a peaceable operation.

Reporter #2: But isn't that contrary to the new union laws, and the rights of strikers?

Aiello: I'm chief of police, not chief of the people.

Reporter #3: Was there any violence on the part of the strikers to justify-

Aiello: My motto - my motto is "Prevention - prevention, not - not repression."

Reporter #1: But you let scabs move in and start working.

Aiello: Young lady, you wanna talk to me - call them - unemployed workers.  Now, with your permission, I'll take these flowers to my missus before they wilt.  Or maybe you heard - I'm the father of a baby boy! ;D

Also, after Bugsy's beating of Max and Noodles:

Bugsy: You don't work for me, you don't work for NO-ONE!
Max: I don't like bosses.
Bugsy: You was better off you stayed in the Bronx.
Max: Woulda been better for YOU, too!
