What are some good films that take place in Sicily?

On another note - Is there really that much hate between Sicilians and other Italians or is it exagerrated?

The only ones I know about are Visconti's two Sicilian movies, The Godfather films, and the two Volonte gangster flicks.

It is exagerrated. Actually all regions (places, actually) of Italy hate each other.

I don't like it so much, but abroad it is highly esteemed:

Others will come to mind.

Can't remember if this plays in Sicily. It ought to, though:

Check out  "Il giorno della civetta" with Franco Nero and Claudia Cardinale. Good movie!
As for your question concerning Sicily and the rest of Italy, there was never actually "hate", just some differences in mentality and character, just as in the States people from Montana are probably slightly different from people in Alabama.

Sure. Just try enter a bar in Bergamo (northern Italy) and start speaking with an accent south of Rome and see what happens.

Or, to make a shorter trip, just read what Vincenzoni (venetian) says about people from Rome in the interview you can find in this site.
