Hey, Groggy, can we get back to the story? All this dancing around in the tavern is a bit too John Ford for me.

Glad you could get the Dundee sting into the action, though. I'm liking that cheesy device more and more....

actually i am not even sure whats going on any more. werent we shoving off on sunday?and where the blooming blazes am i! ;D

Hey, Groggy, good stuff.  I love the addition of the bull whip in the bar fight.  And that ending is reminiscent of The Wild Bunch, except this time, the good guys win.

If it's all right with you, since you are the creator of the blog and the expedition, how about my character gets a last name?  Tyreen is fine with me if it meets your approval.  If not, I understand, I'm fine being your online subordinate.

Sure, it's not a big deal, I just don't want to use people's real full names unless absolutely necessary.  Tim Tyreen's got a good ring to it, though. . .

Well, Hex, you've been in it a lot more than some other people to this point, so keep your legs on.  :P

And yes, we did leave last Sunday.  Pay attention.

You're just mad because you didn't get to join in the fight.  :P  ;D

I'll try to write the next chapter tonight, unless anything unplanned is to happened.

You prominently featured in Frisco's introduction and were at least mentioned in a few others.  I've not even really mentioned Peacemaker or Kermit (for instance), but I don't hear them complaining.

FYI:

The reason that I haven't been posting on here or updating the blog since last week is that since Monday our Internet connection has been crappy (thanks a lot MSN!)  Even now our connection is rather sporadic, so there's no telling how long I'll be able to stay on.  If I can get on tomorrow, I'll have a new chapter for you to read, albeit a week late.  If not, we'll see when we can.

I STILL am having trouble with my blog, so if nobody minds, I'll be posting the next few chapters here. . .

This next one's a lame-o chapter to get us back to the main storyline.  Since Thanksgiving is in a couple days, I have more ideas then.

Back on Track

After a week and a half of drunken revelry and knife fighting in Tijuana, which was edited out by the good folks at MSN, the command groggily pushed out of the city which they left behind in ruins.  Dundee rode out ahead of his men, with some of his guys using their new Jeeps, HUMVEEs, and of course, their new Apache helicopter.  How fitting, then, that they use the Apache to kill the Apache. *rimshot*

Watching them from a high-up mountain, was none other than Sierra Charriba.  He smirked as he watched the Evil White Men in their modern equipment moved deeper into his territory.  He told his aide to play the "Apache doorbell" noise on their portable tape recorder.  He had plans for what the white men called, "Thanksgiving".  Charriba was present as an Apache delegate at the first official Thanksgiving (in 1864, of course, not the Pilgrim one), but was upset when Abraham Lincoln ate the last piece of turkey.  So now, as revenge, Charriba planned to get the white man back for this meat-gobbling gluttony.  But all in due time. . .

Groggy, I'm looking forward to the battle scene. Ever since the battle of bloody barstool, the men seem to be getting a little restless.

And if anyone asks about why you weren't able to write for a week, just do what the original movie did.  In the movie, whole weeks go by with no explanation of what happened, so just say your editors cut it to pieces.  Eerily similar to the original 1965 production if you ask me.  lol

I hope this doesn't come across as too bad.  As I note at the end of the one post, don't assume you've been killed unless a) it's been explicitly stated or b) you're mentioned as having been killed in the "After the battle" post.
