He could have lost at least 2 of those titles if some nearsighted referee had seen a penalty against Chelsea or Barcelona of the many that could be whistled against his team in those matches. No use talking about what happened in Serie A, even in the last match. Still none of the  coaches that went unjustly defeated against him put up his kind of show.

I didn't see either of Chelsea or Barcelona ties but i hear that Chelsea were very much outclassed and the result against the Barcelona with only 10 men sounds impressive.

I don't really know much about what happened in Serie A other than Mourinho whining about "being handcuffed by the referees."

He goes to Madrid. Future national team coach will be Prandelli.

Well on past form you guys definately don't need any help from outsiders. O0 Did Italy play last night?

Despite the 3-1 against Mexico last night England were unconvincing. It always baffles me how we lack the skill levels of a few other teams and i think getting beyond the quarter finals next month is wishful thinking.

I have no idea about national teams friendlies. They are worthless for viewers. The same goes for England which, I hope, will make it to the final. Against whom, I have no idea. Italy has a great adavantage this year: nobody over here thinks it can go far. A great result would be to make it to the 1\4 final. The team is old (Cannavaro, Pirlo, Zambrotta played awfully last season) and there are no young players of relevance to substitute those who won last WC. But in this kind of tournament anything can happen and that goes for all the major teams.

England had a great qualifying campaign but the Croatia we twice beat so emphatically was not the same team we lost out to in the last Euro's  and i feel we haven't really beaten anyone of consequence. Rooney is our solitary world class player and our overall ability to keep possession of the ball is still at times suspect. But as always a lot of it is down to luck(England are overdue plenty of this! ;D ) and i agree any one of a number of teams can win it including Italy.

BTW does Totti  figure at all in the Italian squad?

So, folks, here we are again. Today most of the teams will fly to SA. Friday it's the beginning. What is your favourite team? It's hard to tell, of course, but over here everybody agrees it's not Italy. That's a good starting point.
As of now, if I had to bet a euro it would go to Spain.

Yeah i agree Spain are the clear favourites but you've as always you gotta favour Brazil too.

Are you up for the usual match prediction competition Titoli and the invitation goes out for anyone else that's interested? I see LeBon took part last time round so i'll send him a pm.It'll be good if we can get more than just the 3 of us this year especially as both England and the USA are playing, and not forgetting that we have German members too!

I think the two of us is more than enough, though everybody else is welcome. You know, I don't care for the predicting (I'm not much good at that), but I like talk about the matches and what else.
Anyway, Brazil has the best defense but in midfield it all depends on how Kaka is gonna play. He usually plays a month a year: if this is the right month, then they can go to the end, but if he doesn't play, like he did in the last three years? About strikers, they only have Fabiano: the rest is nothing worth mentioning.
Argentina is absolutely the best manned, but their coach well. we know who it is. ::) He left Cambiasso and Zanetti home, that tells the whole story.

What about the Ferdinand's sub?
