Yes it was a very good game. Turkey are really unlucky to got out. Germany were quite poor. There were two power blackouts due to the storm in Vienna which affected the world feed. The BBC swithced to Radio 5 commentary when this happened. The cut outs were about 5 mins each time so nthey were not too long although we missed the 2nd German goal. It sounds like yoyu had a good day though Banjo. ;)

Yes, poor performance. Their psyche is their weakness. So we play best against the other 'great' soccer nations.
My main hope here for the final: after a bad or mediocre game they always came back with a great or good (enough) performance. After 12 years we need another title. :)

It is our 6th final, it could be the Russians 5th (incl. USSR). We won the title 3 times (72 against USSR), the
Russians only won the very first Euro Finals in 1960).

Then again I want ESPANA to win today!
And on Sunday Mario Gomez' comeback with two goals.

I'm still groaning about it!! :-[

Don't think you've anything to worry about Mike,i feel it's inevitable that Germany win again after 12 long years. Not quite as bad as 40 odd years though is it? ::)

Yes i'm glad that the best team in the tournament won. O0

I'm  astounded how with such an average team in recent years Germany keep coming within a whisker of winning something.I guess its their fighting spirit, something unfortunately England lost a long time ago.

Well done to LeBon for winning the predictions game.

Out of the last 30 odd games they lost only four I guess.  So I guess we did o.k. :)
But ESPANA was the best possible winner of the tournament, no question about it.
Although it could have been a better, suspenseful final if 90% of the German team would not have
been elsewhere with their heads.

I kept thinking during the game that the equaliser was coming. Not because Germany were playing well (only one half chance with the Ballack shot) but because of their spirit and determination....not this time though.

I think spain will win.   Oh, too late (sorry Banjo).

If I'd have read me PM in time I'd have honestly gone for the Czechs.
