No-one got the above right,a match which didn't quite live up to it's billing but a lot better than the earlier match today.Hopefully Brazil will make up for this later.

They didn't. I don't like this brazilian team. They may even go to win (I hope not) but they are really a mediocre team with some good player. They depend too much on Kaka who, as everybody in Italy knows, can only play a couple of weeks in a year. Sure, in those 2 weeks he can win alone a tournament (like he did for Milan 3 years ago in CL) but it is not pure chance he was sold to Madrid.

I agree,not a patch on Argentina even.There's no denying though that Maicon's goal from a tight angle was something special.

The only major player now to show their hand i guess is Spain who i think must be playing tomorrow.

The hands will be shown in the knock-off matches. I think that, up to this moment, what is clear is that there isn't a possible owner. Which is good for a lesser team like Italy, though I think the champions will emerge 2 weeks from now and draw the line.

Yes especially on evidence of many of the games played so far the emphasis has been on not losing rather than winning which will obviously change in the knock-out stages.

I surely didn't guess right the Spain's result, though the match isn't ended yet. This is the most important result of WC so far. And might be IMPORTANT for Italy's course.

I've been out all day and having just got back i'm very surprised by Spain's defeat although i read that the Spaniards dominated throughout.Still it's hope for the rest of us.I suspect that Spain could still win their group but if they only finish second then it's likely that they'd face Brazil which would remove one of the main contenders which from what you say may give your team a break.
