Well i guess that Mexico aren't going to be  a pushover for Argentina.

In the unlikely event of England coming through two potential classics as well as probable injury/yellow card casualties  we risk burn out for the semis which could be against Brazil!

Apparently our american forumists do not care about their team making history. We'll see in case their side will go ahead if they will maintain their countenance.

Yes it'll be interesting to see who crawls out of the woodwork should the USA win it!

Maybe we should try changing the thread title to "USA Soccer Team Makes History!!!" to see if it makes any difference?

Unlucky Titoli,i was willing Italy to equalise and thought you had in about the 85th minute. It was a very very tight offside decision.

Tell you what: didn't understand a single decision made by our trainer. I didn't think we could go ahead very much, so it's better get off at the start. The basic mistake was calling Lippi back: he was history and should have stayed so.

I guess this isn't any consulation but Italy's final match was for me the most exciting so far and Italy really came alive for the last half an hour or so.It's tragic that Italy's defence was lacking,a rarity,and that they couldn't have played with such spirit and intensity throughout as i'm sure that they would've progressed a lot further into the tournament.Granted that they didn't  compare to the great Italian sides of times gone by but I don't believe for one minute that they would've been trounced by either Brazil or Argentina,to the contrary it would've been very close indeed.

Well done Whalestoe for supporting your team. If England don't win it i'm all for a new teams name on the trophy.
