Germany - Netherlands
That's the final I'm hoping for since the group phase was over.

I see a great stress on phisicality: Germany defended in 8 and attacked in 8, while Argentina barely made it to defend in 4 and attack in 4. If things keep going this way a replay of the '72 final is inevitable.

If we stop VILLA - nobody will stop us
36 years later HOLLAND - DEUTSCHLAND - yessir!
(I'm all for HOLLAND finally becoming the champions of the world - but not this year, our boys can make it!)

I was at a party last night so i missed the second game but hear that Spain weren't that convincing.I really do hope it's Germany v Holland as i was too young to watch the 1974 final.

If this is gonna be the final it will have nothing to do with that one: there wasn't multi-ethnicism then. Anyway, Spain is waiting for the nino Torres to wake up as Italy did for Rossi in 1982...

So 1974 was nothing like 1990 then?
Yeah it would be good to see Torres finally come alive.

I don't wanna steal Banjo's answer so I'll say Holland 3 Uruguay 1...

Shame you didn't join in from the start but perhaps i could award bonus points for the correct prediction for the final.
The manner in which Uruguay got through the last round ie "the hand of god mark 2" i really hope they go out tonight.

We guessed every score but!
A good game but i definitely feel that Holland are far from the best team in the tournament and have had so much luck so far.Saying that i'd still like them to finally win the World Cup but for me Germany are very strong favourites now.
