I hate football, why do we have to put up with it all the time ruining all tv scheduals believe it or not most people in the UK can't stand the sport of kicking a bladder of air round a bit of grass trying to get it between two sticks.
But the Tv channels over here pander to the minority all the time
We pray for England to loose the next 2 games and sent home and while my ire is up how can we be proud of a sport that encourages violence on a horrific scale fuelled by over drinking, most football nuts in the UK are thugs full stop.
They should try a game of American football I have been a couple of times and what a great family outing it is.
I hope and prey football will not be somthing the USA takes to
come on ENGLAND LOOSE and get sent home

Saw the Germany: with a load of luck they can make it to the quarters, not beyond that.

Don't know about Spain, though it ranks with Italy, England and Netherlands as my favourite. Haven't seen the match. Sure,l they may have their best team ever.

Tomorrow's predictions:

Ecuador 2 Costa Rica 1
England 4 T&T 1
Paraguay 1 Sweden 2

I like this edition of the World Cup. I like those stadiums incredibly filled up, the shows on the tribunes and the games being played by teams that think they can play and win, even the ones that are manifestely inferior. That's why we had (and by pure chance) just two 0-0 results. Sure, we don't have the team or the two teams who give a great show (though let's wait for the eights matches) but, just as it had happened in Korea-Japan, you feel that the world's game is being played, that you are a part of it. I feel kind of being in symbiosis with all the billions of people watching the Tv screen. This doesn't happen to me with any other sports or other kind of event. Am I there all alone?

You're not alone..   :)

I'm not really a football fan. I actually love baseball, but I have to say I feel very different about the World Cup. I don't know why, but all of a sudden  I become a football addict (and so does everyone else here in Brazil..) and I like it, because unfornately this is one of the few things that brings our nation together.

Baseball in Brazil? Since when?

P.S. Anyway, I wasn't refrring to the nationalistic sense of unity you feel in this occasion. That you may have also during other sports event.

England 3 T & T 0
Paraguay 1 Sweden 1
