Switzerland 1 South Korea 1
Togo 0 France 2
Ukraine 3 Tunisia 0
Saudi Arabia 0 Spain 4

I must be due a correct prediction!!

I was gigging last night so missed the games.  Did Brazil look more convincing?  The score suggests so.

Only slightly in the second half,i'd rather England played them than Argentina if we're lucky to get that far :-\

When they come to re-write dictionaries the world over, under the entry for "tedium" they will have to site "Ukraine Vs. Tunisia. World Cup Finals 2006."

I hadn't considered the penalty shoot-out so for any outcome predicted correctly i'll award half a point!

Both me and Titoli get a point each today but i'd much rather the lucky(again) Argentina had gone out of the competition-they should've been playing with 10 men in the 2nd half.Well at least they don't look unbeatable-i fancy the Germans to beat them.

Le Bon       8
Banjo         7
Marco         6
Titoli          5

Firecracker 1

For tommorow:-
England  2 Ecuador 1
Holland 2 Portugal 1

Never thought they were. They are slow, and their manager foolishly does insist on leaving out their best players. But, as I said repeatedly, anything can happen from the eights on. They were lucky that Mexico has but average forwards, and also that they found that goal casually. I still think they have an edge against Germany, though.

Very curious about England tomorrow, as I presume lots of you are (actually the Brit colony here is more than just curious, of course. They have started already all the pre-match rites: have any, Banjo?). The match should be spectacular, as it usually is when you have south american teams pitted against european ones.

England 1 Ecuador 0
Holland 2 Porugal 1

One of the best games...Argentina v Mexico. And Argentina had a goal disallowed which was onside but like banjo said they should have been down to 10 men. Great 2nd goal though.  :)
