That is the hope everybody has. Nafta was a russian concern even bigger than Abramovic which got interested in A.S. Roma couple of years ago. They ran for life when they knew how much in debt the team was. So there's only Bill Gates left for us, I'm afraid...
I'm a fan of Parma, what should I say? Someone would have to invade Iraq, Saudi Arabia & Iran to buy us...

But if it gets more Americans interested in soccer, I'm all for it.  I've been to a couple Fire games and they are fun to watch, but most people just can't get into the sport. :'(
Not even the USA hosting the 1994 World Cup finals made any difference so i'm very doubtful about this.Interestingly though i found out recently that the USA women's national team have won their version of the World Cup twice!!! :o

About the Dida incident, it is embarassing to everyone. The idiot is less culpable than the Milan player: he's an idiot, the other one is a cheater whom I hope won't hbe disqualified: as Milan adversaries we prefer to have Dida playing.

I'm not sure what Dida's motives were. Was he trying to get the result anulled?

Can't believe Chelsea let go of Morinho in favour of one of Abramovic's chums who's only ever managed the mighty Israel. ;D

Big mistake! :D

Don't worry, as soon as someone big sees profit in it, it'll become very popular.

As for the USA women national team winning the World Cup; it is like Nottingham Forrest winning the CL twice. Although it did happen, people wouldn't believe you...

The guy (Avram) is there just to fill the position until someone better comes along. Can't wait to see who will that be.
For a team like Chelsea, that now has players for about 2-3 teams, the arrogant Mourinho was the best man for the job. Only someone more arrogant than those stars could give them orders...

What else.

Too bad his mind is too slow, now he's just an idiot.
How can someone normally walk on the stadium after something like that? I don't understand.
But it's not strange, he is Dida, and he is playing for Milan. Not a big revelation after all.

That team that some say should have lost to Roma have just beaten Wigan 4 - 0 despite some of their players being injured.

Should've been more - ref missed a definite penalty.

Wigan is said to be one of the 20 football teams in the English Premiership.  Some say it's more famous for its Pier and the sport of Rugby.  There's also a line dance called the Wigan Walk but we'd better not go there.

... and it's reported that Paul Simon wrote the song "Homeward Bound" at Wigan Railway Station  but this is disputed:

There was also some recent controversy with the US goalies, the U.S. coach pulled his goalkeeper after she'd gone some ridiculous amount of minutes, like 3, 400 minutes, without allowing a goal for Brianne Scurry.  She'd had success against Brazil in the past, but not this time around.  Four goals and a U.S. loss... :'( ;)

Hey you must live be in the UK to know this sort of stuff(your profile sys "somewhere in the Wild West" though the Cornish consider themselves to be there),though in those days it was  called the European Champions Cup.Think i prefered it then when every stage was a knock out. :)

I see  :)

I've got a strong feeling your national team may have a major bearing on how England will fare in their current campaign. ;)
