Nice photo. He is actually smiling quite broadly. He really did appreciate
receiving his Oscar, God bless him.

Yeah, he was in tears during his speech. Good for him! It was way overdue that Oscar. I think this is one of the few pictures I've ever seen him smile.

I was glued to the tv during his acceptance speech. Even
though he is in his 70's I think he is going to be around for a while.
He has that feisty quality that you see in people who live to a ripe
old age.

I know a lot of people don't like Tarantino, but if he gets his war film Inglorious Bastards off the ground, I hope he gets Ennio to compose.

Agreed. That would be a huge coup for Tarantino and the film.

He's used some Ennio music in his past films, but they were old tracks. I'd like to see some new composed music by him.

That'd be cool. In fact you never know, people might take him more seriously, just because of a good soundtrack! I can't imagine GBU without the score. Then again I can sort of imagine The Godfather with the score of GBU. Imagine this:

SPOILERS
Mike shoots Solozzo and the cop at the Italian restaurant. Instead of playing a variation of the main theme, the audience hears "EHHUH EHHUH EHHHHH, WWAAAAA WWAAAAA WWAAAAA".

:(. Sorry if this seems off topic, 'cause it is.

So he played the owl in Twin Peaks?

Honestly, that pic is creepy.

'just found some reference pictures of my Leone / Terence Hill / Morricone (western only) soundtracks. A bit off-topic maybe,
but here they are anyway.
