True, there isn't a director's cut. (and certainly not the 103 minute version, which made Peckinpah sue the studio!)

The preview version is the closest. But it wasn't fine tuned and also included some alternate takes
that probably would have been altered by him.
The 2005 cut unfortunately has some deliberate editing choices which are hard to accept (including some sloppy misttakes)

That?s my take on it too.

Always the TCM preview cut.

My only two options are that or Seydor since all I have is the two disc US DVD.

I don?t have the theatrical or (unsurprisingly) the TV cut.

I emailed Criterion. Apparently they have no plans to release PG&BTK.

I can only hope they just aren?t allowed to speak about it yet, but it doesn?t sound promising.

So they're calling Alex Cox a liar. Interesting.

I was just reading that same interview with Alex Cox. That was what prompted me to email criterion. Maybe He knows something we don?t, or maybe he is just buying into the internet rumors.

On the topic of Alex Cox, I recently bought the new Criterion Blu-ray of Walker. I?m looking forward to revisiting it.
