Once Upon a Time in the West
Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
For a Few Dollars More
A Fistful of Dynamite
A Fistful of Dollars
Once Upon a Time in America

Juan, if you're a fan of Leone, its a pretty safe bet you'll like My Name is Nobody.  We've had some debates over the last couple weeks/months about how much Leone had to do with directing the movie, but its a good one either way.  It's the right mix of humor and action, and Henry Fonda and Terrence Hill give excellent performances.  Oh, and how can I forget Morricone's score, one of his better ones.

5. A Fistful of Dollars
6. Once Upon a Time in America
7. For a Few Dollars More (all the classic elements are there but they just seemed to be done better in the other films, ya know?)

and as you, I wish I could have seen his last project "Leningrad" with Deniro. The first scene is described by Sergio himself in Conversations avec Sergio Leone (Noel Simsolo):

1) Once Upon a Time in the West
2) Once Upon a Time in America
3) Duck You Sucker
4) The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
5) For a Few Dollars More
6) A Fistful of Dollars

Most viewers like the dollars trilogy more than the once upon a time trilogy. I think the dollars films are very entertaining and extremely beautiful but the once upon a time films were artistic masterpieces.

I cannot choose among the 4 masterpieces, which I rate more highly than the excellent FAFDM. I consider FOD the least of SL's efforts, excepting CR, which I have not seen (and can't imagine having missed much).

I haven't seen DYS in such a long time (never on the big screen) and only Pan & Scan with commercials on TV so  my ranking of it is only to include it on the list . As soon as I get a decent DVD that rank will probably change,  8).

1.  The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
2.  Once Upon a Time in the West
3.  For a Few Dollars More
4.  Once Upon a Time in America
5.  A Fistful of Dynamite
6.  A Fistful of Dollars

That's my opinion for now, but it will probobly change after I watch OUATIA and A Fistful of Dynamite again.  I've only seen them once each and the version of A Fistful of Dynamite  that I saw almost doesn't count because it was a VHS in full screen.  OUATIA, while I found it to be the least likeable initially, was also the most thought provoking of his films, and I'm sure I'll like it more the second time.  Fistul of Dollars, I only saw that once to, but I thought it was clearly the weakest of Leone's films in almost every aspect.  Even the music wasn't as good.  My first two choices are pretty solid though.  GBU and OUATITW are two of my favorite movies period.

1. (tie) The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, Once Upon a Time in America

2.  For a Few Dollars More

3.  A Fistfull of Dollars

4. Duck You Sucker, which didn't start out as a Sergio Flick and gets docked even more for being a Sabata Western.

More feeling.

Just a quick message to refresh this topic with a question: why only 13 of us posted on this one?
