1. Once Upon A Time In the West.

There's no doubt of it. A searing beauty of a film. After that ... I can't decide. It depends on which one I'm watching.

I'm beginning to rediscover the nuances of Duck, You Sucker! I've seen it perhaps two dozen times over the years, but I'm beginning to catch up with it now, now that it's restored on DVD. First time was at the Smithtown Indoor / Outdoor Drive-In on Long Island NY in late 1972 or early 1973. That might be number two on my list providing that I haven't watched Once Upon a Time In America too recently.

I think all six films are masterpieces. DYS feels a bit weaker overall, with some parts feeling a bit underdeveloped. OUATITW never fully connected with me, though I understand it and love absolutely everything about it. OUATIA is the film Godfather II never was.
But it all boils down to those Dollars films. They are gloriously vibrant, sweaty, colorful and direct.
I love FAFDM and GBU to such a degree that I can't really choose one.
