  Did anyone catch this, either live or on tv/radio?  I've never heard Morricone live, but I'd like to.

  Come to think of it, I haven't watched a whole lot of the Winter Olympics.  For me, there's just no big storyline that would make me watch the games.  I'll stick with the summer olympics.

Just bought "Arena Concerto" from Verona on DVD, and in spite of some flaws, it is quite the experience to see the maestro like this...

Thank you, thanks a lot for that information about London in July - got those tickets now, excellent seats, center, about 15th row - my wife loved the idea - who also is deeply in love with especially "Jill's theme" from OUATIW and the piano tune from Cinema Paradiso - so she's hooked. And we will shiver and awe together....

So now we're in London for a few days this summer - anyone know the best cheap place to stay for 3 nights in London Town?

Can't wait goddamit!

BTW - caught Jonathan Demme's "Neil Young - Heart of Gold" last night at a galla - on the biggest screen in town and with incredible sound. A bit "country-ish" but very moving and recommendable.
