I'm new here! Just thought I'd post on the board of the greatest movie ever made in my opinion. It's so nice to come to a board dedicated to my favorite director of all time, and chat among his fellow fans. Once Upon a Time In The West is the most compelling movie I've ever laid eyes on. I never get sick of it. The movie takes you in and never lets you go. The acting, the music, the beautiful cinematography is absolutely genius. Thank God Sergio gave us this masterpiece!  ;D

It's up there with OUATIA and the Lean films, surely.

Not sure where I read it but DYS was said (by somebody) to be the closest thing Leone came to a Lean film.

yeah I read that some place and thinking about it its not far off being right.
although the styles are far apart DYS is the sort of film that Lean could have made a lot of

I have yet to see A Fistfull of Dynamite aka Duck You Sucker! I've with many of you in that I'm waiting for the Region 1 DVD to be released sometime next year. I can't wait! Until then, I still think OUATITW is Leone's best work!

I really would'nt know as I don't really care for Lean's films. Viewed LOA once and I thought that was enough for me.

Welcome TB65.  You have fine taste in film, however, once you see DYS you will really be impressed with SL's exquisite
