Thanks Everyone! I'm glad to be here! I dunno why it took me so long to join this forum. This is amazing! Over at IMDB you get to many trolls and it's not as active as I'd like. I really can't wait to see Duck You Sucker! That DVD needs to be released ASAP!

No. I'm not talking about the whole IMDB in general. I'm talking about the Sergio Leone Board. It's not as active as this!

Welcome TB65.  You have fine taste in film, however, once you see DYS you will really be impressed with SL's exquisite
film making talents 8)

Welcome to TB65 a discerning filmviewer!

Having revisited the film (OUATITW) following a personal resurgance of interest in the films of Leone I can only agree that its way up there with the best of them. Strangely, I recently purchased a marked down copy of an Empire Magazine special edition listing their 100 best films. I fully expected my all time fav film, Gone With The Wind, to be in it but it wasnt!! But, thankfully, OUATITW was. But then so was a recent ok movie called Sideways.  Movie  preference lists are pretty subjective I suppose.

El Mal in Spain.

I'm new here! Just thought I'd post on the board of the greatest movie ever made in my opinion. It's so nice to come to a board dedicated to my favorite director of all time, and chat among his fellow fans. Once Upon a Time In The West is the most compelling movie I've ever laid eyes on. I never get sick of it. The movie takes you in and never lets you go. The acting, the music, the beautiful cinematography is absolutely genius. Thank God Sergio gave us this masterpiece!  ;D

Amen!

Not sure where I read it but DYS was said (by somebody) to be the closest thing Leone came to a Lean film.

We had some discussion to that effect on the "30 Westerns In One" thread a bit farther down on this board, I made the remark that some shots in "Doctor Zhivago" were similar to ones in this film and me, Peacemaker, and Dave Jenkins talked about it.  Dave pointed out some interesting similarities between LoA and DYS. . . but read the thread if you're interested, it's still on the front page.

Well MWNN. . . or should I say TB. . . not bad except for school-related stress (see below post). ;) I'm sure you'll like here, we're a lot more friendly and warm community than the IMDB for sure.  Even when we talk about politics the conversations are civil.  Just feel free to smack me when I bring up David Lean too many times on this Sergio Leone board!  ;D
