Thanks, Alexander but what your feeling about this mystery: how could we explain that nobody visit Noodles during 15 years ?
Even the jail was very far and he has himself choosen to refuse any contact (as he said to Deborah after dinner , on the beach)...
what if this is just one of the many crazy things Sergio Leone never bothered to fix while shooting the movie (supposing he noticed them, which is unlikely imho)?
Just like when he meets Max/Bailey for the first time after all those years... Noodles might have lived in the middle of nowhere for decades, but how is he supposed to have never seen the face of such a rich man / senator in any newspapers / television broadcasts?
Or maybe you are one of those who think it is all a dream? well, here is some more strange things: if it's a dream and he never 'left' the den opium in the thirties, how is Noodles supposed to imagine that thirty years later kids would play with frisbies, or people would watch TV, use phone boots, etc.?
what do you think about that?
