A. in desert seq. a left for dead blondie somehow makes it to the carriage containing bill carson getting the name on the grave from carson's dying words just as tuco fetches water for carson to make/help him tell. if blondie was that bad off how did he crawl that far...that fast ?

B. how does angel eyes get the drop on B & T @ sadhill as anyone could have seen him coming up half a mile away ?

it's always tuco confronting a hangman's noose as blondie cooly escapes them.
("that might be canon fire.")

I think that blondie manages to get a renewed strength as he sees the carragie as a way out.  He knows that he is more than likely going to die and as soon as he sees this "way out" it gives him motivation to "get his a$$ moving before Tuco gets back with the water.  There may be a gun in there that he can get his hands on and turn the tables on Tuco.  Surly those two things would motivate a dieing man... :o

Secondly I think that Tuco and Blondie are "blinded" by greed and the thought of the Gold that makes them un-aware of Angel Eyes comming up behind them. ;)

Regaurdless the movie is still awesome wouldn't you say Kermit?

Tuco is diging , looking for the gold... he is so exited that he didn't heard Blondie coming. After that, i think that Blondie knew that angel eyes was somewhere around (he left the town before he and tuco, with his horse... he was of course waitinf for them, hidden somewhere around), that's why he let Tuco diging at the wrong place: he is in fact waiting for angel eyes. He is not really surprised when angel eyes arrive, and now he decides to tell the truth.
That was a trap...

If memory serves me correctly, doesn't Tuco fling the bottle down the sand dune when he sees Blondie by the carriage?  There's the closeup shot of the bottle rolling down the dune and hitting Blondie in the head.

Blondie, even in his weakened and near death condition, still had his Odysseian wits about him.   He summoned forth all his remaining strength and used the earth's gravitational pull and the proper positioning of his body to rotate down the dune in  such a precise manner to enable him to land exactly at the foot of the carriage.  This superhuman act of will enabled him to capture the dying words of Bill Carson, the besotten lover of that fresh young whore just up from the territories.

No suspension of disbelief necessary, the internal logic of this work of art remains intact and unsullied.

:)Well the answer is that Clint has superspeed,as he
displays when he escapes from the hotel room after
being hung, when the hotel is shelled, stopping to pick up his coat and hat.
