The film you are reffering to is Thirteen Days. Pretty good flick.
I had it confused with 7 Days in May, a similar film. O0

This post gets Agnew's stamp of approval!

He's a reasonably good niche actor who's good at certain roles, but the fact that he appears to be an egomaniac (at times) is probably more harmful to his reputation than any of his films. In all honesty, "The Postman" is the only one of his movies (that I've seen) that I thought was bad, and even that wasn't completely godawful.

The guy's wood, man. Mahogony, tiger maple, beech take your pick! Only one of his movies I liked was Untouchables, and not because of him. He makes Stallone look like Laurence "freakin" Olivier. I'm actually amazed you like JFK.

Agreed. But I didn't like him in

Untouchables
either (he ends up playing 3d fiddle to Connery and De Niro).

Has anybody here seen his films "Waterworld" and "The Postman" which were so brutally ripped apart by critics. I here from a lot of people that they get a lot of criticism that they don't deserve. I've never seen them so I was wondering what you thought.

Waterworld wasn't too bad, but there was ridiculous stuff in it, like Costner with gills, and Dennis Hopper shooting for "Ham of the Year" trophy with his cueball non- hairstyle. Postman was just dull, dull, dull.

I gotta agree with MWND on Waterworld & Postman, I'd like to see Costner in a new Western not directed by himself or by Robert Duval, then I think we may be able to make some kind of judgement.

I prefer Wyatt Earp (especially for the Doc Holiday supporting turn) over Open Range and Open Range over Dances with Wolves.
