Tuco's accuracy is unquestioned but I think Angel Eyes would be quicker on the draw. Tuco gets motally wounded and Angel Eyes gets hit in the leg.

Now, this is a hard choice.   Both have great 'gunman' abilities.  AE being quick on the draw and Tuco's 'good eye for accuracy'.   Sorry, but this is a hard choice for me.  I'll have to give it more thought before I choose - lol.

Your right Calamity Jane, they both do have great "gunman" abilities,  but I think Angel Eyes would be a little faster. ;)

I think you're right, Helenea - AE does have a quick hand when drawing a gun from his holster - lol.  Of course, Blondie is even faster - proved that in the showdown scene in Sad Hill Cemetary.   When weighing the two (quick draw vs. accuracy), I'd also have to say that AE would have the upper hand, considering....   Accuracy is great, but you have to draw the gun first TO BE accurate - lol.  AE does have the quicker draw.   It's like a sequence:  FIRST, draw the gun - THEN aim and shoot with accuracy.  How can you be accurate with a gun if the gun is in the holster?   lol.

besides all that, judging from the way tuco tried to fire at AE, he was as nervous as hell. ill just add a quote from unforgivin to explain it:

Quote
Look son, being a good shot, being quick with a pistol, that don't do no harm, but it don't mean much next to being cool-headed. A man who will keep his head and not get rattled under fire, like as not, he'll kill ya. It ain't so easy to shoot a man anyhow, especially if the son-of-a-bitch is shootin' back at you.
i think that angel eye's CLEARLY had the coolest head

VERY true!  That quote is very applicable to AE's cool-headedness in the shootout scene.   All through the movie, AE never showed any nervousness.  He was suave and kept his cool about him all throughout - even in the shootout.   Tuco did show nervousness and I think it's because he was worried about whether or not he was going to get his share of the gold, if not all of it.

Angel eyed was very cool throughout the entire movie...except for the few moments before the guns were drawn.  The nervousness showes on his face.  He knew the odds were stacked against him.  It was just a pisser that he had to go up against two very good shooters and he realized that just before they all pulled their guns. I think at that moment he was experiencing an equasion he thught would never materialize.  When Blondie began his walk to the far side of the circle it was all too late for Angel Eyes. He knew it.  And when he looked at Tuco for a moment, while Blondie walked, he didn't realize how bad his situation was until Tuco slowly lifted his gun.  But in the end his instinct would take over and he would draw faster and more deadly than Tuco. This he had to believe.  So, I contend that if there was a shoot-out duel between Tuco and AE his instinct would win over and Tuco would be dead...

Do we ever see Angel Eyes in a shoot out anyway. Tuco wins in the opening sequence against three and his accuracy in the gun shop and Blondie in the next sequence against three, but do we see AE????

Angel Eyes may well have shot Blondie never mind Tuco. If he had had the advantage that blondie had in the duel.

but do we see AE????

We see that he has enough of a sixth sense to turn around and kill the kid before the little squirt shoots him in the back.
Perhaps this keen sense can help him anticipate Tuco's draw (which probably isn't as fast as his anyway)?
