There's probably some other threads like this, but see if you can come up with ten CD's  (or DVD's if you want) you'd take with you to a desert island.

I couldn't figure out 10 DVD's, but here's 10 cd's I thought I couldn't live without and ought to be in everybody's collection:

In A Silent Way - Miles Davis

Live/Dead - The Grateful Dead

Lick My Decals Off, Baby - Captain Beefheart and his Magic Band

The Inner Mounting Flame -- Mahavishnu Orchestra

Electric Ladyland -- Jimi Hendrix

Hot Rats - Frank Zappa

A Love Supreme - John Coltrane

Mothership Connection - Parliament

Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

Soundtrack of Once Upon a Time in the West - Ennio Morricone (had a hard time deciding for EM, so I went for the one that would conjure up images of THE BEST FILM EVER MADE)

I thought I made a similar thread a long time ago about if all the movies in the world dissapeared and you had one to keep, what would it be. It was something like that. I don't feel like finding it.

This thread, however is different.

The glance that makes holes in the silver screen

My desert island cds would be probably be:

Master of Puppets by Metallica

In Utero by Nirvana (actually I don't yet own this, which is as sad as it is unbelievable)

Ten by Pearl Jam

Ride the Lightning by Metallica

Rage Against the Machine by Rage Against the Machine

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin (I don't own this either, mainly because I can get 3 other albums for its price. A tough call, I could as well say II, III or IV)

Superunknown by Soundgarden

S&M by Metallica

10,000 Days or Ænima by Tool (I can't decide)

The collection cd of Leone/Morricone collaborations I have (I can't remember the title)

Haha.  That kind of defeats the purpose of the game (which has no basis in reality anyway).

Yeah, but one of those would take up a lot less space than 10 CDs/records. :D

Stupid reality >:(

Lets say I had a MP3-player. I'd probably still load my favorite albums there as whole, not just this and that song.
