Red Dawn (1984):7.5/10
admittedly, i had bad expectations for this. Luckily, once i got past the cheese factor i found a really entertaining action flick. Whats even more shocking was that there where actual moments of character depth  :o. Not common in a patrick swayze movie.

Full metal jacket (1987):9/10
gets better on multiple viewings  O0

Both of those ratings tally almost exactly with my own. O0

Resident Evil: Apocalypse - 1/10 - I already mentioned watching half of this and the original... obviously plot, character, editing, acting and coherence were not major factors in making these films. There was however a great deal of unintentional laughter. On the basis of evidence presented, I can conclude that the film was written by Zippy the chimp, directed by Koko the gorilla and edited by Curious George. In short: it sucks to the extent that it's impossible to know what's going on or why. But it's up there on the list for unintentional humor, so that's worth a star. O0

The Rack (1956)  7/10  Good post-war movie about a POW, Paul Newman, brought up on charges of collaborating with his Korean captors upon returning home.  Ahead of its time in dealing with some rather nasty wartime issues.  Screenplay written by none other than Twilight Zone's Rod Serling which made me think there was a twist ending coming.  There wasn't, but it's an appropriate ending.

A flawed movie but an enjoyable one at that. There are a couple really nice sequences involving oil disasters and Gable/Tracy make quite the duo.

Exactly what I was thinking. Plenty of unbelievably corny scenes and annoyingly fast dialogue, but still very enjoyable. I was entertained throughout.

The Apartment - 7/10 - It was pretty good, but for a comedy it wasn't really funny. Jack Lemmon and Shirley Maclaine were excellent. I'd definitely place it below the other Wilders I've seen.

Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) - 7/10
Despite the overall B-movie look and the poorly executed climax this was pretty entertaining. I found a lot of similarities to Night of the Living Dead, but Carpenter's portray of group in danger is closer to Hawks than to Romero. I liked the OUATITW reference.

It suffers from being conceived as a play. I know it's called The Apartment, but we spend too much time on that set.

Saw the 2005 remake recently. An utter travesty.

I love this film. Not many directors can create atmosphere quite like John Carpenter.

Like Strangelove, it gets funnier with repeated viewings.

Iron Man - 4/5

Not a great movie, but for what is, it sure was fun.
