The Master - 8/10 - Enjoyed it: great acting, beautiful direction, unsettling atmosphere. Will take awhile to process. Jenkins will surely say I must watch it eight times to fully "get it," but I don't have that kind of time.

You should watch it eight times until you fully get it. Clear space on that busy schedule of yours (and what is it, exactly, that takes up so much of your time?)

I loved it the first time, second time + repeat viewings makes it one of my favorite movies (uhhggg PTA  :-* )

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part I - 8/10 - Better than Catching Fire for a few reasons. One: moving away from the gladiatorial fantasy killings to rather grim war violence. Two: making Katniss a pawn of cynical revolutionaries, so she's the protagonist but not exactly the hero, seems a rather ballsy move (at least by blockbuster standards). Much darker than the previous two and all the better for it.
