"Nino and Me: My Unusual Friendship With Justice Antonin Scalia," by Bryan Garner

Garner, the acclaimed lexicographer, author, lawyer, and law professor, wrote two books with Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Two years after Scalia's 2016 passing, Garner wrote this account of their friendship and work together.

As one might expect, Scalia could be charming or grouchy or irascible. The book doesn't really get into legalese, it's more an account of their working relationship and friendship.

It's a good book. Though it can get a bit too detailed at times. It's obviously a form a therapy for Garner, grieving over the loss of a friend, and he really recounts everything, like what foods Scalia at the hotel buffet.

There are three types of people in the world, my friend: those who can add, and those who can't.
